Now On Kickstarter: The New FLASK Brewer By Alpha Dominche

Getting over the mid-week hump can be a difficult task, bathed fully in the knowledge that in order to make it to the glorious weekend, you have to go through the exact same rigamarole that got you to this point. Sometimes you need a little kickstart. Hell, I bet if Sisyphus had a little help he could have pushed that boulder up that hill once and for all, a good day’s work never to be repeated again.

And if new coffee gear is the sort of kick start you need, then have I ever got the swift kick in the britches you’ve been looking for. Now on kickstarting on Kickstarter, Alpha Dominche’s brand new FLASK brewer. On Kickstarter!

The makers of the Steampunk, this is Alpha Dominche’s first foray in the world of home coffee brewers, and according to their Kickstarter page, the FLASK is “distilled version” the coffee and tea maker that made them famous. An inner cylinder is filled with coffee grounds/tea and water and then pressed through a filter of your choosing—the FLASK has coarse metal, fine metal, and paper filters—into the outer glass decanter, which acts as a serving vessel.

Now you may be asking, “isn’t this just a fancier version of an AeroPress?” To which I say, “Well yeah.” But don’t you deserve a fancier version of an AeroPress? And, as an added benefit, I’m fairly certain that with only minor modifications you could turn it into a bong.

With almost a full month left in the campaign, Alpha Dominche has already over double their goal amount of $40,000, which means it has effectively become a discounted pre-order for any new backers. With a suggested retail price of $80, backers can get their own FLASK for as low as $50 (as of writing this, there were 400 available at this price). Estimated delivery date for the FLASK is July of this year.
